Every year new advances in medicine oﬀer opportunities to improve patient care. When we began serving you in 1976 we provided Basic Life Support and transportation to the hospital with one ambulance and dedicated volunteers. In 2015 we upgraded to an Advanced Life Support service bringing the emergency room to your side in minutes.
This comes with a cost, did you know that just the heart monitors that we use cost over $40,000 each? Transport times are long so we are looking to add a LUCAS, automated CPR device, to each unit. These devices will help increase cardiac arrest survival. We need 4 and they cost $17,000 each.
We just added a third ambulance to the ﬂeet to insure reliability...investment $165,000 We are required to replace our aging CPR mannikins to continue teaching, cost $4,000. Portable radio system upgrade to improve communications and crew safety. Cost $15,000.
